June and Thomas two self-proclaimed ‘foodies’ and friends for years, discovered a spark between them while on a trip in South Beach, Miami. The couples’ relationship grew; they travelled to Hawaii and Costa Rica and a month after buying their new home together Thomas proposed. “He proposed in front of the new home on a rainy day. Our days now are filled with laughter and food”, says the bride.
The couple married in front of 250 guests on October 27, 2012 at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Ontario. June and Thomas recall that beautiful and joyous moment when they walked hand in hand after being pronounced husband and wife to the song ‘I’m Walking on Sunshine’. A favorite moment shared by friends and family where the love, support and happiness between the couple was felt.
With a travel theme the couple creatively incorporated themselves into their wedding details from food to favors. The groom being a sneaker enthusiast gave the couple the great idea to make personalized sneakers for their groomsmen to wear on the wedding day. The sneakers had custom labels with the couples’ initials and their wedding date. The couple offered midnight snacks to their guests from a gourmet food truck they rented out, a creative, urban and chic idea.
